Star Wars Assault expansion: Twin Shadows

Imperial Assault casts you and your friends into the climactic events following the Death Star's destruction above Yavin 4, and offers two full game experiences within the Star Wars saga. In the campaign game, you and up to four other friends play a series of thrilling missions woven together in a narrative campaign, and in the skirmish game, you and your opponent muster your own strike teams and battle head-to-head over conflicting objectives. Whether you play as a hero of the Rebellion and fight alongside iconic characters like Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, or command the seemingly limitless armies of the Galactic Empire, you'll enter the Star Wars universe in Imperial Assault. As an added bonus, Imperial Assault includes the Darth Vader Villain Pack and the Luke Skywalker Ally Pack. These figure packs mark the first expansions for Imperial Assault, adding sculpted plastic figures with new campaign and skirmish missions.

Forbidden Stars: Battlefleet Gothic and WH40K taken to a board game format

It’s not quite the Battlefleet Gothic reboot people were hoping for, but it’s good enough. Fantasy Flight Games is re-theming its old Starcraft board game into Forbidden Stars. Up to four players manage fleets and armies in a bid to take over a sector of the galaxy. The game adds dice and some other tweaks to the Starcraft game. You can almost predict the expansions: Necron, Tyranids. The base game comes with Imperial, Chaos, Eldar and Ork forces. The game pieces look fantastic.

A Warp rift has erupted near the Antian Sector and under its baleful influence Chaos infestations and other abhorrent phenomena have surfaced. To face this threat, agents of the Imperium have come forth: Space Marine, Inquisitor, Commissar, Rogue Trader and more. To succeed, such heroes will need skill and weaponry, courage and faith and even the assistance of ancient and powerful relics. Relic is an adventure board game based on the Talisman system, in which two to four players each assume the role of a powerful hero from the Warhammer 40,000 universe and bravely venture forth to shield the Antian Sector from certain doom. By completing missions and defeating enemies, characters compete to gain rewards and experience, furthering their chance of being the first to defeat whatever evil lies beyond the Warp rift.
