Star Wars Assault is getting a new expansion, Twin Shadows, with two heroes and two bad guys. Rebels get an engineer and guerilla. Imperials get a Tusken Raider and Heavy Stormtrooper. Boba Fett will be a separate add-on pack.
It’s not quite the Battlefleet Gothic reboot people were hoping for, but it’s good enough. Fantasy Flight Games is re-theming its old Starcraft board game into Forbidden Stars. Up to four players manage fleets and armies in a bid to take over a sector of the galaxy. The game adds dice and some other tweaks to the Starcraft game. You can almost predict the expansions: Necron, Tyranids. The base game comes with Imperial, Chaos, Eldar and Ork forces. The game pieces look fantastic.
Wave 2 for Star Wars Armada has been announced. The big ships are here: the big Mon Calamari cruiser and the Imperial Star Destroyer. Rogues and Villains will feature the Millennium Falcon, Slave I and similar sized ships. Wave 2.
